Note: The carbon apex seals are designed for racing only. They seal better above 8k rpm due to their lighter weight. They do NOT last very long (20k miles on the high side), and do NOT seal well at low rpm's (like starting and at idle).
Not recommended for turbo, supercharged, or nitrous engines

Under normal driving/racing conditions, including NOS, turbo and SCs, many people have said that 2mm seals and 3mm seals are no different, as well as 2pc and 3pc seals not having a difference either.
On the same page as the carbon seals are the ceramic seals, costing $297.98 each, requiring over $1800 for a set of 6 to do both rotors.
As far as the oil question, I have browsed through the Hurley web site, but don't know much about their mods. I do know that a company who makes rotary engines tailored to aviation use has come up with a mod (compatible with RX-7 rotary use) to get the oil metering pump to pump premix out of a tank instead of pumping engine oil in the traditional manor that it does. Click here to go to that page. It doesn't explain in great detail how their mod works, but if you purchase the part it comes with instructions. Also the page has an email address if you wish to contact them. Basically, the mod allows you to run the stock metering pump, but it is supplied with 2 stroke oil, or what ever premix solution you choose. Instead of having to mix it in with the fuel every time you gas up, it is in a tank. (that you must supply, tank doesn't come with adapter mod) A simple bit of home engineering, and you can even hook up a tank level sensor so you don't ever have to pop the hood to check it. if I do decide to purchase this mod, I will use something like an oil pan oil level sensor and wire it into a light on the dash so I know when the tank is low.
Anyway check it out and see what you think. And one more thing, the CAPS LOCK key can be found on the right side of your keyboard
