apex seals

when you throw an apex seal is it the same thing as blowing the engine up . What is the cause of throwing apex seal?

Basically, think of it as the equivalent of a piston motor blowing a piston ring.&nbsp Detonation, abuse, neglect, lack of oil lubrication, improper installation of apex seal...
