Apex seal question

I have a GSLSE and my Haynes manual just says the size of the apex seals for the 12A and no mention for my 13B. my question is for the GSLSE 13B do i need 3mm or 2mm apex seals?

Thax

if your engine is a 13b, the apex seals for your engine are 3mm.. because its a gsl se first generation rx7 engine. what does 12a have to do with this? you dont have a 12a you have a 13b all 12a to my knowledge are 2mm seals.. which you dont have to worry about because you don't have one anyway you have a 13b.

I think you got that backwards man. 12a engines have the 3mm seals and the 2nd gen 13b are 2mm. Since the GLSSE is "special" im asking if i can use the 2mm 2nd gen seals or if i need to get special 3mm seals since the 12a 3mm are too short for the rotors.

Billy_Bob : not to be mean or rude but the info you were just given is RIGHT to your engine...
ALL 13-B engines from 1974 to 1985 had 3MM apex seals..
ALL 13-B engines from 1986 to 2007 have 2MM apex seals...

who ever you order from on the seals you need to tell them what year the engine rotors are and what size of apex seals you need.. youi will get the right parts for a 13-B...

So as long as you are dealing with someone that knows what thay are doing than you will get the parts you need the first time...
