Apex Seal question

I was looking at a diagram of how a rotary works and had a question. Where the spark plug hole is, is it circular or is it parellel? Like how much does it open cause would the apex seal rub the inside of it at all and rip eventually? I drew a really crappy picture to try and help explain.

circular or parallel?
huh?

the leading opena s much as the head and the trailing is a dot.

why would the apex seal rub it if it doesnt go out that far

that is why you use the correct spark plugs.

they have tiny pinholes inside the rotor housing to let the spark in. one small and one even smaller.
The stock type sparkplugs are not like normal sparkplugs. Has a flat circular surface. very odd the first time you see one

And yes, run the proper sparkplugs for your car if it is still pretty close to stock (no huge ports or big boost)
NGK BUR7EQ and 9EQ or whatever it is. or is that for my old first gen? lol
close enough

it is the same size as the spark plug head.

i always wondered if you'd pick up any fuel economy by enlarging the trailing hole a tad.

No.
It's written in an SAE paper.
The enlarged trailing spark hole leaks more compression, and the engine drops power.

What does negative split have to do with a larger trailing spark plug hole?
