Anyone used Hurley Rotary seals?

I have been checking out www.hurleyrotary.com for a while now and was wondering if anyone has used their seals.
They offer seals in different sizes for 12a and 13b (2mm-3.5mm). They also offer an interesting solid corner seals (for 12a and 13b) that uses actual springs instead

They have some other interesting products and ideas behind them for use in rotaries. They claim that their seals are faster for engine break in, make worn and newer engines last longer, and they are easier on engine components. I would like to hear of anyone's expirience with them, good or bad, and if their stuff is as good as they claim. They currently hold the world record for fastest 2 rotor rx-7.

i had some in my motor for about 4k miles. the seals didnt give, but it was tuned (if you could call it that, piggy back) and there looks to be minimal wear on them. i still have them, and when i build another motor i might use them on there. i havent heard alot of info about them, only that they were soft and were **** (dont know how true that is) so its one of those varies by person thing, i havent seen any actual tests with them or anything.

Had them on my motor, around 75-85k miles before it finall lost compression due to bad tune./temps.

I've heard many bad things about them, they are like the JCWhitney of the apex seal world; cheap but shitty most of the time. Theyre supposed to be okay for a street nonturbo setup, but anything turbo'd or abused is not a good candidate for them. The apex seals are supposedly too soft, while the cornerseals supposedly eat irons due to too much spring force.

garbage. I broke 5 (FIVE!) motors with them within 18 months back when i was naive and didnt know any better. they break at a hint of detonation. stay far far away.

We have had no problem with them in an EProd car. One full season on them now, had the engine oil temp up to 280 F once (if that matters). Regularly over 10k rpm. Good compression after break in. Looks like the jury is out on these still on the forum, I have not had the pleasure of tearing an engine down after these parts have been used (Yet!?) So it looks like other people may have more insight for you(and me now!)

For a boosted motor they are worthless--they break way way too easily. On a positive note, when they break they wont damage your motor internals or your turbine(s). Otherwise, they may have applications for an n/a motor. Any modded FD should steer clear of hurley seals.

bottom line: I have consulted with many respected engine builders, to include chris and ari of www.rx7.com , my bud and partner Steve Kan of www.gothamracing.com , Bryan Nickell of BNR Supercars, and a few others......my take away from it all was to use OEM engine internals. I'm making good power on OEM two piece 2mm seals. case closed, at least for me.
