any advice w/side draft carb and metering valve

does any body have any advice on hooking the metering valve up with a side draft weber carb and manidold the manifold as the openings to hook the oil tubes up to but i know the metering valve runs off the throtel and i want to do it proper so i dont burn up my roors and apex seals im doing an engine conversion puting a 12a in a 74 beetle with a 46 IDF sidedraft weber carb i got the intake manifold to go with it and the flywheel with the bolt pattern conversion and i want to do this right.

How about use a bicycle brake cable to attach the OMP to the carb linkage? It worked for me and it's cheap and easy to do.
