Ok I finnaly have my j-spec lip and was about to install it . I saw some info and pics of some completed installs posted.However has anyone tired to cut the extra few inches off the ends that are to long ? It looks like it can be done ,cut the extra inches off and a new end could made with the cut off end then epoxied together,that could finish the end off nice .If anyone tried this please let me know and advice would be cool.Either way I will post a completed picture .I had all my dings removed today so I dont fee so bad anymore. 12 dings ....it looked like the car was shot at. a few times

Didn't you hear? The '00 jspec lip fits perfectly without the need for cutting or epoxy. If you're stuck with a '99 lip I feel bad for you! Those were recalled due to this very defect. I hope you didn't pay much for it. If you can't send it back then just melt it a little with a propane torch on the ends.

 

I put my '99 lip on with no prob. i just drilled 2 extra holes into the lip by the wheel and it fits with barely any overhang
