86 rx7 idle issues. Please help!

I have a 13b n/a. I recently removed the emission(my vacuum nest) well I took off the BAC. It seemed bad so I put it back on. Now I can get the car to stay running once it's started. The problem is when iy warms to operating temps, it's starts pulsating @ 1000-2000 rpms. I've tried setting the timing, I've tried the screw both on the manifold and by the maf. I've checked my intake and vacuum lines for leaks I don't c any. If anyone can give some advice I would really appreciate it. Very thought counts I'm out of options.

Mine did the same thing untill I removed the idle control valve on the manifold and used a block off plate. I think it were just a dodgy icv. You can use the block off plates but would be best to use an aftermarket computer as it causes low idle with stock computer and small troubles up to 2k.

might be the fact you removed everything from the rat's nest.. put it all back on.

issue is without the cold start assist system the engine will want to stall when cold, when warm it may wind up in the 1200+ RPM range which the engine will try to forcibly get it to idle down by retarding ignition off and on. this in turn never does drop the idle so the surge will be constant when warm.

only other way out is get a cheap EMS, no more ignition retard "idle mode" hunting. but then you're stuck with an EMS in your hand wondering what to do with it, not for the novice.

the BAC valve only helps marginally for cold start assistance, it isn't a problem solver. the problem is everything you needed is now gone.
