Can someone tell me where I can buy a 54 mm socket? I've checked my usual tool sources online, but haven't found anything that big.

Racing Beat sells a special wrench for those nuts. I made my own that's just like theirs.

 

have you tried sears, also ask for 2 1/8 same thing, craftman, sk, just a few

 

I got a 2 1/8 socket at Sears for $23.00. I believe that it is a 3/4 in drive, so you will need a wrench with a 3/4 drive also if you don't have one.

 

Thanks for the replies. I knew that RB sold a wrench, but I'd prefer a socket. Unfortunately, I never thought to see if there was an SAE equivalent size. 2-1/8" is not just close to 54mm, it's exactly the same. Doh! I'll just be heading to Sears now

to convert metric to SAE, divide by 25.4

example: 54mm divided by 25.4= 2.126, 2 1/8 is 2.125
