3 prong alt connector?

recently i started my T2 swap using a S5 motor and a S4.5/1988 turbo wiring harness. what alt has 3 wires coming from a single plug? i looked up the wiring for S4,5, and 6 and got nothing. what's going on here?

All 3 have a plug, and I think they're all 3 prong. It connects to the voltage regulator inside the alternator. Do a forum search on using an s5 alternator in an s4 and eventually you should find pics explaining the wiring differences. IIRC the s5 and s6 are wired the same.
