Just to make sure, Are the air bleed sockets necessary when upgrading your injectors from 850s for 1600s?

with the 1600 secondaries in and the airbleed sockets installed they wouldn't fit, so I took out the sockets and left the top rubber gasket to make a nice seal for the injector.

I haven't started my car yet but everything is installed. But before I do I just want to make sure that this is ok.
