So I've seen people make 3 and 4 rotor engines using 13b housings and internals, my question is, has it ever been done using 12a housings and internals? I don't know the specifics but I don't see why it couldn't be done, what with the incredible things people can already do themselves, or ever still what $$$ can do. If it's been done I'd love some links!

Hurley Rotary - Mazda 12A

You can get a fully assembled used 3 rotor from Japan for around 5k, so unless you're rich and going drag racing or doing some kind of Wyotech project, building your own 3rotor isn't worth the bucks/effort.

I personally would love to do an "18A" for my '73 RX-2... Simply for the cool factor, I know there's no good reason for power or anything.

Scoot 23a from Japan. 4 rotor 12a based. Incredible noise.
