I'm lookin to buy a 85 rx7 and i was just wondering if there is anyway to diagnose a compression problem without having a compression tester. Thx for the help.

Pull a spark plug, disable fuel and spark, have assistant crank the engine while you try to hold a finger over the spark plug hole. If it forces your finger away 3 times with the same pressure each time, then a rough guestimate would be that the compression is ok. Replace the spark plug and do the same thing for the other rotor housing.

Don't be sarcastic, this particular section isn't visited as often as the generation specific sections, so it takes longer to get answer here.
