1987 S/4 N/A Having trouble. Car will now not start.

Was a full tune up, just got the car. It ran perfect but I felt the need to replace everything anyways. Oil filter, spark plugs, belts etc but as soon as I finished spark plugs filter and oil I realized a wire was hanging lose.. Ripped off. This is the wire
Well I didn't realize it till I hooked up the battery and main fuse blew along side the 30a fuse on the positive cable. Car gets zero power now and I'm sad as hell.

Can anyone tell me what this wire is for!!

Thank you everyone,
Benjamin

I don't know s5s, but I know that wire being ripped out will NOT make it blow any fuses. sure you didn't hook the battery up wrong? What EXACTLY did you do? Did you move/remove any wires? I wonder if you pinched a wire thats live with the battery hooked up, and thats grounding it out and what is popping your fuse

If I were you I would retrace my steps as to what I did, because obviously something was moved wrong
