1987 rx7 fc , locking up

Hello, I have a question about my rx7, so I can drive the car for a bout 10 mins then around there the car locks up I believe it is the brakes because the pedal is super hard when it happens and also around that point the car over heats , any tips on what it might be? I can give more information if needed I might have left something out as I am new too this, thank you!

Sounds like your brake pedal does not have enough free play . Where sharft from brake booster fits to pedal there is a lock nut un do and twist sharft to get more free play in pedal.if still locks up give it some more freeplay

What do you mean by locks up? are you referring to the engine all of a sudden stopping and being unable to turn over under it cools off or that the wheels lock up and it becomes difficult to move? If the car starts to overheat after 10mins something is really wrong. Did you check the coolant and oil levels?
