1987 n/a-please help!!!

OK first thing first,i just baught a 87 rx-7 n/a and this is my first ratory powered car and i have not a clue about the rotary engine and i have been doing lots and lots of reading on them and i haved learned a lot about them..Well i baught this car from a guy for 4oo bucks and the body is in great shape and the engine seems to rum ok when i get it started and here are my problems,1 is that the car needed a new fuel pump so i went and got one for $157 and i put it in and the thing keeps on flooding the engine when i hook it up to yhe harness,if i leave it undone the engine runs without it...2 The engine wont stay running all by itself,if i let of the accelerator and try and let it idle by itself then she dies on me,i have to keep the rpm's above 1,800....3 The wiring to the fuel injectors are no good,the negative wire is bad somewhere along the harness so i ran my own ground wire to the injectors and they work good as new,also is ther 2 injectors or is there 4 because my Chiltons Wiring Diagram shows 4 and i only see 2 on the fuel rail...4 The o2 sensor is not connected and i cant find the wire the operates the sensor,is it behind the 13b throttle body or some where else,i can see a wire but i am not sure and i dont want to screw this thing up more than it already is,lol????? 5 Why is there gas leaking out the catylitic converter flange when she gets flooded beyond all belief,is that normal and why(scary)??? Someone please help me i reallly want to keep this car,and i have alot of high hopes for it,if these problems sound to bad to fix then tell me so i can just pay the extra $600 for the 2g turbo engine?I want to get it running so i can get the discount on the new turbo engine for a core exchange..I used to drive a 99 Eclipse GSX and she was a fast car then i got in trouble with it and had to sell and now i am back in the game and want to go boost,my friend has a Trans Am and thinks he's the sh*** since my clipse is gone and now i have to show him who his Daddy is again,LOL...Any way please help,thanxs............................Josh

1 adjust the idle screw and see if it idles better. 2 if ur o2 sensor isnt connected the computer doesnt know how rick or lean its running so its just gonna put fuel in the motor. 3 there is 4 injectors, primary and secondary, the other two should b beneith the first to,4 if u wanna go fast get a turbo motor.
