Question 13b side seal clearencing

Okay I am getting ready to do some assembly and I have an excess amount of good used side seals when the motor was stock but now its undergone a streetport I wanted to know what I should clearance my side seal to corner seal clearance to.

stock application spec is .003"

so should I go tighter if I can? .001" .002" I doubt I should go loose but I wanted to know your opinions. First rebuild.

unless its aftermarket seals (set to what they say) otherwise stay with factory clearance... if its running meth or lots of boost or race car running at very high rpm all the time would be the only time you should increase clearance

its just gonna be a large/medium streetport, stock seals. non turbo, no meth or boost. but it will be driven at high rpm but the motor is an S5 so it could see 9000 rpm, but i doubt it will peak power at that.

NA you'll want to keep it tighter. Say .0015" - .002".
