WA 13b rotary

I recently purchased a 89 rx7 with the 13b rotary turbo. It sat for about 3 months before i bought it and now when i run it has a hesitation when you accelerate. My check engine light also comes on.
1. How do i check the codes on the car for he check engine light
2. my car has an aftermarket radiator with electric fan when this was done the ac compressor was removed but the lines are still there. Would this cause a problem?
3. I have run two tanks of premium gas through the car but still have the same hesitation. if i feather the gas it seems to run fine but if i accelerate to fast it hesitates. It also hesitates when i go up hills.

any help is appreciated. Thanks

1. checking codes is really easy. open the hood, and by the battery there is a 1 pin green connector, ground this. turn the key on but the engine off, and the check engine light will blink the codes
89-91 CPU Trouble Codes

2. no problem, except you've got no a/c

3. i'd see what codes it spits out, and go from there

WA codes on a 1989 13b motor

the codes I pull are

17 - feed back system (poss O2 Sensor)

26 MOP (step motor)

27 MOP (General) - basic fuel injection and fixed timing

30 - solenoid _ split air valve

37 MOP (General) - basic fuel injection and fixed timing

What do I do now to fix or should I take it to a shop

it needs a metering pump, and the engine harness needs to be checked too

I'm having the same issue with my 1988 SE 13 b. But I don't have a check engine light so I'm completely lost.. Mine when u hit the gas it hesitates at 4K rpms every time and sometimes it barely starts when hot and it also does this really loud beeping noise???

completely different issue

check the coolant and oil levels for the buzzer issue
check fuel pressure, grounds, battery terminals, injectors, etc for the hesitation
hot start issues are usually compression related so check the engine compression because a couple of those symptoms point to a bad engine.
