i think 13B-RE is from FC3S GTX(S5)
and 13BT is from FC3S GTR(S4)

REs can use REW rotors.

on the turbo version, a huge difference. S4 is 6 port with secondary port actuators in the LIM, and the S5 turbo is a 4 port which is much easier to work with. The REW and RE also have the better flowing intake manifold as well but it's flow characteristics are even better than the S5's.

the intake bolt pattern on what is supposed to be a 13b-re plate, is wrong... the S5 intake and RE intake bolt patterns are opposite of one another. the re intake and the rew intake bolt pattern are the same... don't make this mistake...

S4 vs S5
The egr, plastic thermo stat housing, eletrical omp, there are two throttle position sensors on the s5 and the injector plugs and injectors are round instead of square, the fuel rails look like plain cylinders where as the s4 are cast, and the turbo has a flat shaped manifold and a smooth rounded hot side instead of the rough cut grinded seem from the factory, oh and no twin scroll as well. I think that's it as far as visual.

I also remember someone mentioning the area where the oil filter screws into is a lil more reinforced on s5 rear irons.
BTW, so the 13bt has bigger exhaust ports than the 13b re?

Contact Japan2LA on this forum...he imports fantasic motors...all with great compression....anything you want: S5 TII, 13B-REW, or 13B-RE Cosmo.
Go with the Cosmo.....bigger than any streetport, stock...and can be ported bigger! It also has the largest oil pump, etc.
Don't **** around...get one of the latest 13B's made, besides the 13B-MSP.

Should be a sticky. Now someone said rotor housings aren't interchangeable between 13BT or REW and the 13BRE, I thought all 13B housings were inter-changeable, only difference was in the exhaust port/diffuser?

Brian, I am in the midst of building a motor for myself. I've chosen a 13BT, which will be stock port, until it becomes an external combustion engine, which probably won;t be too long, all things considered.
Would you consider it a good insurance policy to throw bigger injectors in, than I will really need?
Plan on using a stage 3 bnr, 800cc primaries, 1600cc secondaries... I know it's a bit much, since it's stock port, but I figure it's cheaper in the long run.
