13b Help!!!!!!!
13b large streetport has less than 8,000miles. Starts fine, runs about 10 minutes fine, then starts sputtering, backfiring, and has no power. I thought it was a dirty carb, cleaned out the jets, ran fine again for 10 minutes, then sputter.
THis all started when I ran low on gas one day, but I see no debris in any of the filters (fuel, weber at the needle). Drove it one day and had to limp it home, checked the plugs, the rear plugs L & T were white, like no fuel getting in.
What do you guys think? Motor blown? Carb really clogged inside the body? It would be wierd for the carb to be the prob if it runs good for a bit. I haven't stuck a compression gauge on it yet, but I get 3 good whooshes when cranked. Would bad cap, rotor, wires do anything like this? Maybe a fucked MSD box?

Wacky: Holley Red, little custom prefiler between the tank outlet and pump, aeroquip inline filter in the bay. It was just a MAJOR hiccup and needed a cleaning. I think it was the pump jets as Big Albert told me....sprayed them out, blew some air through and i seems to be working. I gotta get a retune though as I just changed the center section of the exhaust from Angelo's glasspacks with magnaflows and its kinda boggy down log. I got a lot more flow and I may need to change the idle jets from 65's to 70's to give it more squirt.

I had a barrel, clear glass filter, between the tank and pump. Did the same thing. Problem was, when i shut the car off, the crap that was plugging the filter, drained back into the tank.
It sounds like maybe your intank filter, or pre-pump filter might be doing the same thing.
