I would like to know what is need for doing a bridge-port, like what motor is better for doing this, what type of hardend gears i need, carb or fuel inj, dizzy, seals or anythign else I forgot. I want to make a list of what i need before I go do this.

Well we have a bridgeport in our race car and here's what I know of that's in there:

NA 13b with Weber 45DCOE carb and racing beat intake manifold piece, and distributor and coils from a 81-85 carbed rx7. This is in a race car and is very aggressively ported, and it hates to idle, or run at a constant throttle. It was built on an engine dyno and makes 285hp. Hope this helps a bit!

Recommendation

Unless your car is a full race car a well built 13B street port high compression motor would be a better setup. Bridgeport/P-Port are good for off-road use, but the street-port has more useable power without all the nonsense.

good luck

sounds like you have a lot of reading to do there. at any rate to even try to answer some of your questions you need to say what the ultimate setup will be - basically, are you thinking of a turbo or not? that will dictate which apex seals you need and to some degree, which block you need to start with.

i'll assume since you asked about which engine that you don't currently have 13B. if that's not the case, then just use what you have. you don't learn how to swim by jumping into the middle of an ocean.

the other stuff you mentioned, like fuel control and ignition, are TOTALLY up to you and the resources available to you. make a solid, realistic plan.
