Air Pump Operated 6th Ports

Would someone please explain in detail how to make the 6 ports in my gsl-se work off of the air pump? I've seen this mentioned before, but I've never gotten a clear, detailed explanation on how it's done. I hear there's a way to rig an adjustment to determine at what rpms they will open. Thanks in advance for the help.

Talking

...................I suppose you want some elaberation.

Anyway, here is a site that shows how to do it on a second gen 86-88 which is basically the same. You ofcourse need to block off the ACV, no cats. I used a ball type valve on my set up to bleed off the excess air pressure before you reach 3800rpm or it won't give you your lowend torque. You will need a way to run a hose from the air pump to a "T" with 2 holes the size of the air pump hosing and one that will be small and fit to the actuatator tube. The last hole will go to the ball valve with a diameter of the air pump hosing about. Then you can either let the air come out there or use the siliencer thing below the air box and route the ball valve to it so you don't have a hissing sound whenever you rev the engine.

You simply set it by having someone hold the engine at 3800rpm and set the valve so it starts to open them around 3600 and is fully open at 4000rpm about.

Here is a webpage that "Sort of" gives you a idea how to do this. PS: DONT use their cheapo plastic valves!!

Thanks, I have never seen this actually done. Although I have thought about it a lot.
