Exclamation NO Torque numbers in 1st Gen factory manual?????

Why can't I find the torque settings for different bolts in the factory 84 manual?

I am replacing my 2 intake gaskets and am taking off the upper manifold/dynamic chamber, and lower manifold. It is important to torque this stuff down properly when dealing with gaskets especially, and in the manual it says nothing that i can find. Just says remove this, then this and that blaa blaa blaa(7 steps).

Do they expect us to just guess? If anyone knows let me know. I am just testing the torque as i take stuff off and recording them so i put them back on with the original torque.

FYI, the Haynes manual does publish bolt torque settings. They recommend 14 to 19 ft-lb for the intake manifold.

thanks guys! I got it changed yesterday, but unfortunatly i still have an intake leak. I suspect the lower gasket is bad too. The injector seals were changed buy Hayes Rotary last year, so those should still be good, but who knows with Hayes. When i checked the torque they had my bolts at they were at least 35 ft. lbs, and the front corner of my manifold was cracked. Oh well I have learned my lesson; Do the work myself now. Got a used manifold on the way from moremazda's brother for $120. Mazda comp was charging $400 something, and a dealer charges $600 something.
