I want to keep my engine simple and so I dont want the three coils and weird wiring of a direct fire ignition.
Cant I just hook up the msd through the distributor.

Heavy Black to NEG
Heavy Red to POS
Black to neg on coil
orange to pos on coil
small red to the original +coil wire
white to the original - coil wire.

Who has this setup. How is the direct fire better.
This seems a hell of a lot easier to hook up. An it would look cleaner.

Don't worry about how hard it is to hook up, or how it looks, just look at the end results of it. Hell, im probably going to do a direct fire on my 7 as soon as my *** finds a job.

i just had that setup,
i switched over cause it sucks,
you will burn up your dizzy cap fast,
my went in less then 30 days,
its too hot of a spark to try to push through the dizzy cap.
i had a msd 6a with dual blaster 2 coils,
just get another coil and go direct fire.
it will be well worth it.

What kinda power gain is there? or is it all just initial pick-up. Both are good of course.
