I was hoping the die-hard 20B experts could post their experiences with each version of the 20B (A thru F) for comparison? It would be interesting to track the changes to find out why a C, D, or E is best. Perhaps one guru has all the answers? I believe C and up has the improved Eccentric -- but what else? Anyone know what the limitation of an A or B eccentric is?

Where exactly are you getting this info from?
I am only aware of the "Series I" and "Series II" 20B's that can be differentiated be the color of the intake manifolds.&nbsp The Series II 20B is stronger internally.

One has a aluminum colored intake manifold (piece of tubing on top of the engine to be blunt) and one has a charcoalish grey colored manifold.
I believe the gray one is Series I, I'm not sure of the years though, I think Evil Aviator knows them.

This is AJC13B's car in this. He uses a 13B-RE which is a Cosmo engine as well (the engine you got if you didnt have a 20b).
Anyways, take a look at the engine bay shot, you will see what I mean by charcoal gray colored intake manifold


And yes, I was only aware of these two types as well george.

s1 with the natural intake manifold and

I've seen some come with the thicker casting around the dowel area like the FD's and some with the normal casting like the FC's. This is the same for the 13B-RE Cosmo motor also. I've also seen some of the 13B-RE motors come with the standard stationary gears and some with the grooved gears like the FD's. Might be the same for the 20B too.
