Unfortunately after looking (quickly) at the 7 trying to find where the puddle of green stuff is coming from there is a leak from around mine that I need to look into tomorrow...

 

Good luck! The thing I like about this so-called street-safe pump is that you're eliminating the drag associated with the water pump pulley. Now, I'd only have belts to the air pump and the alternators...what part of FTW is your stompin' grounds?

 

They have had those out for a couple years, have never heard anyone have any problems with one. But then again I've never seen it put on a street car, just drags and road racing cars....
I'll save my $ for the Moroso aluminum oil pan

I dunno. before I worry about upping my horsepower via removing belts, im gunna go the exhast and intake way first. Maybe a Yaw carb. ge my car to hold 1.0g lateral (is that possible??) then I might worryabout belts.

Check the small hoses that go to the F.I. and back to the rear of the engine. Took me forever to find that those little hoses were leaking on mine.

 

1g is easily possible! A listmember reported easily getting 1.5-1.6g in his GSL. The trick is the stick! DOT-R tires are your FRIENDS. (they don't last too long tho)

I dunno how many g's I was pulling in WT (all stock suspension, gummy tires) but my arms get really sore from holding myself upright, and I broke the door panel and my seat's side bolster one day. Need a nice Kirkey racing seat

 

groan...there's no version for the 12A?? sucks..

 

it's OK... i'm gunna be making my own 12A deep pan no real choice... several holes in the oil oil pan

 

If it's going to be a sheet aluminum jobby, then I guess that's another thing I'm going to have to save for...or were you going to do just the one to get your pan replaced?

that's stamped steel, right? ----> Anti-rice superstar! Was your home-built pan going to be welded aluminum? Curious minds gotta know...

 

I was gonna do it out of steel for various reasons... steel is cheaper, and I don't have the capacity to weld aluminum right now. (Is two reasons enough to be "various"? )

Well yes, I was only planning on making the one, but I've been considering starting up a lil' business making one-off parts for people. I'm just always worried about the liability factor... a big thing to worry about with any venture nowadays I'd love to make cool stuff for people like oil pans or short-ratio trannies or even build engines... but then what if "**** happens" and causes a wreck - even if it's not my fault, but even if it is - it's "up **** creek" time.

 

Have a lawyer buddy write up a bullet-proof waiver that everyone who buys your stuff must sign that has in bold letters, "YOU MIGHT DDIIIEEE" and "IT'S YOUR OWN DAMN FAULT, SO RELATIVES CAN ONLY CRY AND HAVE NO LEGAL REMEDY TOWARDS PJPOWER,Inc." and learn to weld aluminum. You make the stuff and rexxr's will buy...
