Do 20b ports look like this?

I haven't seen any other ports look like this on any of the other 12a's/13b's. It's a stock 13b-re (cosmo engine). They look like they don't flow too well be because of all the jagged edges inside. Some have said they are designed that way to "aid" the stock twin set up. Are the stock ports good for a single? I hope so because thats what they'll be used for.

Hmm, it looks a lot like the ports on my 20B.

No, I don't think that they would be so great for a single turbo, but it's not stopping me from using them as-is. I figure that I have plenty of time for street porting, Ianetti seals, hardened gears, etc, after I blow up my engine for the first time.

Hehe 20b's look funny, Kinda like a three armed person. Or maybe it just looks funny because I've been staring at my 2 rotor cosmo for the past few weeks.
Looks like the same port design to me. Do you know how much HP the stock 20b's and 13b's had?

LOL, I actually think that the Cosmo 13B looks more strange in the FC engine bay because it is smaller, and is therefore a more noticeable centerpiece.

13B-RE-SI: 160ps @ 6000rpm, 20.5kg-m @ 3000rpm (158bhp @ 6000rpm, 148ft-lbs @ 3000rpm)

13B-REW: 230ps @ 6500rpm, 30.0 kg-m @ 3500rpm (227bhp @ 6500rpm, 217ft-lbs @ 3500rpm)

20B-REW: 280ps @ 6500rpm, 41.0kg-m @ 3000rpm (276bhp @ 6500rpm, 296 ft-lbs @ 3000rpm)

Whew...almost **** my pants when I read that the 13b-re had 158hp! Mine is the 227hp version whew I was talking to AJC-13B a little and he said something about the exhaust sleves, can you take them out and put "better" ones in there? Or do you simply grind them untill they look good?? I'm starting to get a little worried about the exhaust flow on theses ports...

How do you 20b guys make the ports flow better? Or do all of you just leave them the way they are?

I'll probably leave mine the way they are, unless I can stuff a rag into the port and use a dremel or something..

Since the shippers dropped my engine and pieces of the casting have fallen into the intake runners, I have no choice but to tear the engine apart and have it rebuilt. So, while Marvelspeed is in there, they are gonna port the intake and exhaust... I can't wait... SO PSYCHED!!!!

I chated with RICERACING a little and he said it would take 20psi of boost to get 375-400rwhp out of the stock porting on my 13bt-re. He was going to send me pic's of how to port the housing but i think he fell off the planet again...

We bought a Cosmo and the engine had just been rebuilt (by dodgy mechanic) and it all ready had S6 housings so was a good start. Pulled engine apart to rebuild properly.
