what company sells Red display radio in black cover?...
Does anyone know who makes a car stereo/radio that has a red display and comes in a black or dark gray cover??? I've only seen the ones that have a chrome cover (Best Buy).

Great. How do you like the Kenwood? Do you drive an FD, if so, does the display match your instrument cluster?. Thanks for your reply and input.

Sorry to hear that. I was going to buy a 12" Xplod woofer. What would you recommend. I'll be using about 200 watts for the woofer.

Put Sony next to an Alpine or Pioneer and the sound difference is VERY evident. I'm not even talking about a high-end Alpine or Pioneer. An entry-level Alpine will sound better than the best Xplod.

I've looked at Crutchfield's site and found a few.
Sony CDX-MP80 (selectable color, chrome accents)
Kenwood KDC-MPV6022 (selectable, a bit of chrome)
Clarion ProAudio DXZ535 (adj. color)
Harman Kardon TrafficPro (looks great, except it's an expensive navigation unit)
I didn't really care for any of these decks so I gave up on finding one with a matching color scheme a while ago.
I don't really care for any of Sony's decks, feature-wise. Can't comment on their sound quality, decks or subs.
...but hey. Let us know if you find anything else with this color combo.

Nakamichi CD 400 is the most aesthetic match in my opinion. Go to www.nakamichi.com and look under mobile audio. There's a pic on the site that shows it w/ the amber display. Only problem is I don't believe it plays MP3s.

So its back to the Alpine for me.BTW, both the Alpine and the Nakamichi are black with orange backlighting. (The Alpine is selectable between green and orange.)
