REAL FD weights!!!
A friend and I went to our first National Tour Solo II event. Both running in SM2 so we had to get the cars weighed after our runs. Here are the results:
93 R1. Mods: DP, CB, Med IC, CF intake, Eibach springs, GAB R shocks, ACT clutch, J-spec rear seat, stock CD player, factory cruise added, stock wheels with 245/45/16 Kuhmo V700s, water temp and boost guage.
Gas tank was probably only 1-2 gal from full, I filled it up right before my runs.
2796lbs
My friend's 94 Touring/R1. Mods: DP, CB, PFS IC and intake, Eibach springs, GAB R shocks, Mazdatrix clutch, stock wheels with 245/45/16 Kuhmo V700s, Mazdacomp radiator, water temp and boost guage, wideband O2 sensor installed. This car also has a FULL R1 conversion, oil coolers, strut brace, spoilers and seats.
Gas tank was 2 gallons down compared to my 93 R1.
2900lbs
Gas weighs 8lbs/gal so it weighed EXACTLY 120lbs more than my R1.
There was also another FD there, a 94 R2, so I asked him to get his car weighed. His mods were, Tri-Point from bar, boost guage, straight pipe cat-back, GAB R shocks, stock wheels with V700 Kuhmos, no jack or tools, spare installed. This car only had 28K miles on it, original owner.
Gas tank was pretty much exactly the same as mine, 1-2 gal from completely full.
2813lbs
There was another FD in our class, I didn't get his weight. I'll try and PM him and post it up. He had 335/35/17 Hoosiers on the rear, 275s on the front. Man that looked BADASS.

When my 94 Touring was corner balanced acouple of years ago, I got:
2724 lbs with approx. 1/2 tank gas, DP, CB, M2 CAI, underdrive pulley, Efini y-pipe, 17lb steel flywheel, Bonez street/comp clutch, Hawker PC680, GC Advance Design coil overs, GAB frt. strut tower bar, stock wheels with Toyo T1S 245/45, boost gauge on RE steering column mount, factory rear spoiler, everything else as it came from the factory. With approx. 10 more gal. fuel at 8lb/gal., that'd be about 2804lbs.

Your not saying the sunroof assembly weighs 120lbs are you?
I can see 40 - 50lbs with glass sunroof maybe, but not 120lbs. The little electric motor is not that big at all. There's got to sumthing else adding weight.

I weighed my 94 R2 with 3/4 tank of gas with 225/50 RE730 Potenzas all around. Had DP and Cat back, 2 gauges, Profec-B, Tein HA Coilovers. Had everything in the car including spare and what not. Weighed in at 2855lbs w/o me.
Now I have 18's and a small stereo system (1-10'', amp and all) but I have alse got rid of the air pump, gutted my main cat and have a lightened flywheel since then. Don't know the weight but I'am guessing a tad more.

I don't think theres any additional sound insulation in any of the models.... if there is, i'd like to know where... i've owned both an R1 and tourer... everything seemed the same.

Wierd, my car hit the scales at 2615 but I prob only had around 4 gallons of fuel at the most in the car. Its a 1995 PEP and at the time had intake, full exhaust, PFC and thats all, everything else was stock.

My 93 R1 with LT1 and T56 weighs 2780 with a six point cage and 3/4 tank of gas. That was at a truck stop and I think that big scale only measures in increments of ten.

Figure the 94 Touring was about as heavy as an FD can get.
It has dual oil coolers, R1 strut brace, R1 seats in addition to the stock Touring stuff AND the pass side airbag not on the 93 R1. Read again and you'll see the R1 has cruise, and yes it is an R1, I added it.
So 40-50lb extra for the sunroof is probably reasonable. 5-10lb for the airbag. Add in rear wiper, rear wiper tank and washer, larger radiator (holds more water).
I also thought it was interesting that the 93 R1 and 94 R2 were pretty close. One was modded the other was almost stock.

I was actually surprised how much mine weighed at the last Divisional.
'93 R1: M2 Al CAI, Trust SMIC, Greddy pipes & elbow, Pettit duct, Fluidyne radiator, Bonez DP, Pettit Resonated MP, PowerFC + Commander, old HKS catback, 9.5# RB Flywheel, ACT S/S clutch with HD pressure plate, stockers with 245/45 V700's, Koni Yellows, Tri-Point Adjustable Front Sway Bar, Autometer boost gauge .... almost full tank of gas.
2812 lbs .... that's with the spare and mini-jack still in the back, and a regular ol' Sears Die Hard battery. My car needs to go on a diet.
BTW, the other FD was probably Spank.

Yeah the other FD was Spank. He kicked my *** on Sat (I was 4th out of 6), wanted me to be his tire warmer driver on Sun. I declined... I beat him barely on Sun (I was 2nd out of 6) with my 245/45/16s. Not talking trash just happy to beat a couple of guys.

1 US Gallon = 3.785 Liters
1 Liter = 1,000 cubic centimeters
1 US Gallon = 3,785 cubic centimeters
1 cubic centimeter of air = 1.239 milligrams @ 20C, 1 atmosphere
3,785 cubic centimeters of air = 4,689.615 milligrams
453,600 milligrams = 1 lb.
Therefore, 1 US Gallon of air = 0.01 lb.
