he has a fmic, and its to let heat out of the engine bay. i had been thinking about getting one of these, but wasn't really sure on the looks based on the pics on rx7.com, but from your pics, it looks damn good, and i think i will have to invest in it now.

Yes IF! you are using the factory intercooler mounted on top of the engine. He is using an aftermarket Front Mounted Intercooler (FMIC) That is mounted on the front of the car.

Doesn't look to bad. I think it might be ever better if you would cut out the hood under the vents where you can see straight through to the engine.

Man, that looks great! I'd much prefer that to any of the replacement reverse-scoop hoods I've seen.

It looks like it might be worth enlarging that hole in the hood. A bit of black paint on top of the hood under the vent might improve things too.

Find you

I'll be more specific.. Find where you live, your address. say someone wants to steal your car..

Here is another thing.. say the other day you mention that you have a black box and watch free cable.. or something like that.. later you post a pic of your car with your plate.. okay well the ARE people who WILL turn you into the po po for stuff like that..

They can find out where you live and steal your car. Crazy as it sounds, you can get anyones address from the rego plate for a small fee.

there is one country. south of mexico I think. that it's free online to do. I was having fun with that one day LOL... enter in the plate. and it gives you name / address / car info. and even if the car is fully paid for or on a loan!. as well as past damage / crashs on the car.

but anyways I haven't driven it yet... I got a nice windy mountain trip tomorrow so we'll see what happens

first of al you can keep your stock tmic there and it would have a better effect.....beleive it or not the hood scoop doesnt even flow air to the intercooler...its a known fact and many people know that there is actualy positive airflow on that part of the hood.....air flows fron underneath the car, underneath and thru the heat sheild on the intercooler and out of the hood....so it doesnt make a difference whether u use the scop or not cuz ur not getting fresh air to it anyhow
