Might as well bring up a RC eng. 1300cc inj. thread

I just wanted to see if anyone else ran into problems w/ theirs... I know I am on my 4th engine b/c of them. Also I see many that are looking at the same injectors. I found one was sticking shut causing detonation and boom motor lets go.
Any comments?

funny u say that...i just went thru installing three pairs the other day...what a nightmare that was. Two faulty pairs then finally a good set. I though my motor was blown twice. They where dumping fuel. Thank god it wasnt the other way around or i would be installing a new motor. Never-the-less that day took a few yrs of my life!

I wouldn't blame RC so quickly. There are a lot of people on this forum who basically f**k up injector installations.

Holy crap, it's surprising that two rx7 shops screwed up. Once they are installed you are supposed to leave off the UIM and turn the key to on and build fuel pressure to check for leaks. They usually drip, but the inj isnt the actual cause- the oring is so you just wiggle them aroung till they stop or you uninstall.install again.

My mechanic ran the RC upgrade to 1200 cc for 20,000 miles with no problems, He is now going to 1600 cc and the BNR stage 3 turbos. ( the 1200cc are still good to go )
