Ok, well I was messing around tonight watching my car shoot flames in widow reflections and stuff, so I made a quick small video for everyone. Sorry its such low quality, I used the lowest quality setting to keep the size down. Its only like 600 KB so even the 56K people should be able to see it easily. This was just a couple pumps of the pedal up to ~6K and then letting off . Anyway, its on AngelFire, so the site may go down pretty quick, but I dunno. So, without further adu, heres the link:

My 82 used to do that. I'm pretty sure my '79 will with some encouragement, but I've never got anyone to go back there and look.

 

mine shoots lots bigger ones that that, but not on command, its odd, it does it whenever it feels like it with no control from me

 

Sweet man!! Any videos of the dyno run!? Do you have scans of the sheets yet!? Speaking of carbs, I think I might have the answer for that here shortly .

I've watched the video like ten times and I've yet to see a flame shoot from anywhere. Does anyone have a computer that doesn't suck that I can have? Mine's consuming itself...

 

Try right clicking it, select save target as. Then, save it to your desktop or something, and try watching it from there.

Thats a little gurly flame. Dont joo want a manly flame? My CSP car used to shoot 3 footers everytime I let off the gas at high rpms. And when I shut it down Id get a double barrel shotgun blast. Used to scare the **** outta people. hahahahaha

Not bad for a kid though. j/k Keep trying! Actually its prolly good that it doesnt do that. Veddy veddy bad for the exhaust packing. My RB system wont shoot a flame at all.

How is it relevant to this thread how many horsepower you made today? If you want to talk about that, why not make your own thread for it? Why are you so arrogant? Everybody knows you have a high-hp car, so do several people on this forum, but they don't throw it in peoples' faces every opportunity they get. They also by and large give good advice, not just constant displays of advertisement.

I also think thats what he means. Seeing as I could very possibly be getting a kit from him, hes just hinting to me personally that a Weber kit from him would make a difference. Although, I do agree that he does, at times, seem a little overzealous with the advertising .
Its not, but seeing as Robert and I are personal friends, and we had just recently talked, and he said he was gonna be at the dyno all day yesterday, he was just once again telling me personally how it all went.

Alright....I gotcha. I probably interpreted his comments in the wrong way. It just seems like I'm seeing said comments a lot around here, and I don't think that's what this forum should be here for. It's only my opinion.

 

Seeing the video isn't the problem, it's seeing the flame in the video that I'm not able to do.

I just figured out what was happening - for some reason the clip was pausing about 3/8 the way through and then jumping ahead to about 3/4. It was skipping over the important part. I've now seen the light (or fire as the case may be).

 

How do you make the car backfore when you turn it off? I was trying to get tit to the other night when my friends were out, but couldn't get it to. I have heard that you turn off the key a few seconds before you stop rolling, but do you still press the gas, push the clutch in, leave it out , etc
