I get 3 footers and window ratteling shotgun blasts every time I decell from about 4k. I actually have it timed and think I have figured out what is causing it. it happens at approx 3500 rpm and I thinking that is when the secondarys are closing on decell, causing too much fuel and not enough air on top of an already rich mix. But it is fun to scare the crap out of the people in the car you just passed by decelling from 6k to 3500 before you shift

peace

my 79 did that becasue of the holed exhaust. funny story: i was passing a black kid on a bike at night when i let off as i was coming into a stop sign. BOOM. this kid hits the deck i guess thinking drive by. kind of felt sorry for him but damn was it funny. funny thing was i was heading to mike-p's and he heard it a couple blocks away. best is to get in between to concrete structures or a tunnel.

I wonder if I can get flames out of mine when I fix up the exhaust...

If I basically have just headers - straight pipe - resonator - tips.........

No restriction from cats or mufflers.......would that still shoot a little flame, or would that be too free flowing?

its all about hot exhaust and extra fuel. its a combustion outside the motor. it will ignite if there is a hot enough part and enough oxygen.

Yeah, if I just barely open the secondaries, and then let off, I get puffs. Makes sense, good thinking man .
