dual N1 owners please read

I'm getting my dual N1 (YEA) this weekend and selling my current custom setup w/ dual dunks. anyway, my car is lowered w/ KYBs and the GC coilover conversion pretty much to the max (on 17's) and I was wondering if I'm really in trouble in terms of speedbumps and driveways. Any lowered dual N1 owners w/ advice?

Thanks!!

Jon

With my slightly lowered car on 17's mine scrapes pretty easily so be cautious.

I assume the muffler itself scraps and the tips are intact bc they are angled up...and holy DAMN is your car quick!! 12.4 is the best my GVR4 could muster (piggybacks)

yea, be very careful. my car isn't lowered, but i have a custom setup with 3" piping. and i gotta be careful sometimes, or at least in lubbock, i hit the dp on a speedbump going into an apt. complex. pissed me off. so be very careful with your lowered car.

check this link, it's in the "parts for sale" section for FC's. I'd sell the Y pipe back for 350, or the muffler sections if you want for 175.

$175 for both mufflers? Do you have any pics of them up close so I can see what shape the mufflers are in? Thanks.

I can get close-up muffler pics this weekend, it's dark when I get outta work and the flash won't make them look nice at night. The mufflers are in great condition except for a lil wear on the drivers side-tip...backing up my driveway kinda flattened out the bottom most part of the curve on the tip but you can only notice it with your face RIGHT in front. I thought 175 was fair for both muffler sections. The Y pipe is custom bent, only like 2 bends in the system. It isn't mandrel, but for the NA I didn't think it mattered much. RB recommends 2 inch tubing after the Y pipe, I used 2.25 so whatever bends and diameter changes wouldn't hurt power or flow. It opens up to 2.5 inches at each muffler. considering the systems is just a year old and only 8K miles, I thought basically half price of what I paid was fair. It cost me about 800 to make w/ the cost of the mufflers and the flange at the racepipe...the Dual N1 was on HUGE backorder then.

i love the dunks, but the y-pipe isnt mandrel bent and might not be too good for TII...

How is it bent?? Is it just crush-bent, or like welded in a "Y"?

the actual "Y" they made is very nice...they welded together a nice collector and the only bends are one on each pipe branching to the each muffler...those bends are crush bent 2.25 inch. I wouldn't put this Y pipe on a TII bc of the 2.25 inch diameter and those crush bends, but this is a terrific exhaust for any NA. The mufflers are great for a TII as well...pics will be up tomorrow night of the Y underneath the car and the mufflers up-close.

if anyone wants the system the mufflers will get a nice polish (gotta nice polishing wheel) and I'll wipe all the salt off the pipes and give them a nice once over w/ some brillo. even with a dusting of salt all looks new
