fuel gauge problem

Yes I did. Replaced the sender unit attached to the fuel pump housing. NO I DID NOT. I went to the junk yard and bought a fuel pump off a wreck and installed it instead. So I did/did not. Mazdatrix sells the sending unit but I decided on the wrecked car route. That way I have a spare pump.
Prior to doing the above I did the tests in the fsm to no avail and swapped in a pump/sender off one of my other cars to prove the sender was a gonner.
