aem for auto???

anyone no if or when the automatic software will be avail.???

The RX7 has it's own auto trans ecu, so the AEM will not control the trans.

sorry not to clear with question....the aem ems uses diff. software for the automatic rx7's...i was wondering if the software was released yet??? last i heard they needed to test it on the car....

The software isn't different, the RX7 has it's own ecu, and the AEM can't control that ecu, so the software doesn't matter as far as the trans goes.

according to AEM's forum jason said that there is different software....my car is at kdr right now waiting for it.....i've tried to contact AEM but they're a pain to get a hold of....

I miss understood what jason was saying....he just replied to the AEM forum....

The Trans does have its own ECU, BUT the Trans ECU gets certain data inputs from the Main EMS so both have to communicate w/ each other.

I believe the only information going to the Stock ecu from the autotrans is the torque reduction request, just like the mitsu auto turbo cars. This helps the trans live longer at WOT shifts.

The HOLD function also requires a signal from the MAIN ECU.
