Unhappy Help greddy universal bov flange won't fit

The universal flange I ordered for my greddy type S bov is way to big for the pipe. Should I try and buy a reducer @ home depot? What will work? Anyone else have trouble mounting bov's on their intake pipes?

Ya, unless you are going to weld them you will have to rig somthing up. I don't have a Greddy .. but my TurboXS-H was the same way, I can take a pic and show you how I did mine if you think it might help ya.

I will post some PICS at my lunch break if I remember, If not tonight for sure. I could not weld mine, i had to make a 'non permanent' mount so I can take it off come smog time. I did it the Home Depot way I got the idea from another post somewhere in this forum.

Here is how I did mine… Like I said it’s more or less a copy of someone else’s I read about, can’t remember who though .. im sure it’s a popular method.

You can see in the second pic that copper thing .. that’s a ¾ inch copper pipe fitting.. I used that to support the pipe clamps when you tighten it down nice & tight so it doesn’t leak … there is a immer hose and the outer (clear hose) closes everything up. Visualize it with yours and its pretty self explanatory. Let me know if you have questions. Hope this helps.

You don't have to have a welder or know how to weld - just find a local welding shop and take the stuff to them to weld together. Something simple like that usually runs $10-15 or so. I've had quite a few things done on my car this way - no big deal.

You can use hoses and hose clamps, but it ends up lookin' ghetto and increases the chance of the BOV being ejected under pressure.

Heck, buy an extra turbo outlet pipe for cheap, have the flange welded on, and rock. If you need to remove it for smog or the like, just swap the stock pipe back on.

thats a good point I might do that in the future. But with the size of the bleed holes on the type-H I don't think I have to worry about it shooting off, but I would like to get it welded to kill the getto look.
