What's the possiblity of fashioning a new braket that can accept a secondary mechanical caliper in addition to the main caliper to adapt the e-brake lever to? The idea is that you can remove the secondary caliper for track events/etc?

 

I am pretty sure that David is working on that now. It will probably be a Wilwood mechanical single and you can just leave it on there all the time if you want. I'll get one and post pics when it is available.

Also - any possiblity to have a two-piece rotor made to replace the RZ? I'm guessing there should be at least a little savings in wieght.

They have been working flawlessly for months. I do feel a bit less secure with the loss of the e-brake and the ability to use the stock spare, but the e-brake thing has not been a problem parking anywhere. I just put it in gear now, and unless the grade is large the car won't move. The braking performance overall is great. The car feels more "buckled down" / stable under braking with the upgraded rears on there.

I am sure you could make 2-piece replacements, but I haven't looked into it much. The NDL caliper is several pounds lighter than the stock ones, so the whole kit is already much lighter. I remember it being "9 pounds lighter" after I weighed the stuff, but I think that was a combined weight for both sides. So, 4.5 lbs per side, if I remember that correctly. I should weigh it again to be suren -- I might not be remembering it correctly. Standard racing rotors are available in a suitable size for like $40 each from Wilwood. The hard/expensive part is making the hats.
