Was that on the side of I-5 today? I saw a seven on the side of the freeway on my way back to Portland around noon.

The car only had 94k miles on it too.

I picked it up today from a guy in Portland. This was'nt the car along side I-5. I'm going to pull the motor, and maybe keep it for a future project. I'm going to sell the wheels and tires, tail lights, and tranny, radiator, drive line, etc. I might start in on the project tomorow.

I won't feel bad, cutting the wiring harness at the firewall. Looks like the car just had new tires put on it too! CJ

Little better shot of the Konigs on it.

Whats also funny, is that the cars steering lock and parking brake still work.

If anyone is looking for something off the car, let me know. The exhaust, driveline, transmition, tail lights (cheap), possiably motor, radiator, the wheels and tires (225/50/16s with two tires at 85-90%, and two at around 60%, I'm guessing), etc. will be for sale. When they are pulled off the car, I'll make a post about it. But feel free to PM me in advance.

The left tail light is in good condition, but the right has a cracked lens. I'm wondering if it would be possiable to heat up the entire unit (In a oven), pull of the lens and replace it. (Is the S4 the same exact shape as a S5? If it where, it would be a cheap fix then.) I know the 3rd gen guys do this to make the 93-95 tails look like a newer JDM model, with some creative work. CJ

Hey Richard, I was going to also suggest a little sandpaper and a bottle of touch up paint to add to your suggestion. What do you think?

Spent half of the day removing parts from her. Pulled the exhaust off, tail lights, rear bumper, all the marker lights, flash to pass lens, prepped the motor for pulling (Its just sitting in the bay) head light assemblys. I probably have 30 more minutes, and the motor and tranny will be out. Still need to pull the windsheild wiper motor, fuel pump, and some other odds and ends. Hope to have it stripped by tomorow. Then off to the scrapper for the shell. CJ

No, no no....

I'm guessing it was a cheasey install that made it catch fire.

As of right now, I have a guy coming out to pickup the exhaust tomorow, anouther guy picking up some odds and ends, and someone else checking the motor out. Wheels and tires might be gone too....

CJ
