well he was asking where to get it done more than what it takes... of course I would have used the search function and read all in the FAQ for FC sticky thread before posting

2 hours eh icemark? that was 9 minutes!

also to the poster, it is not a worthwile swap, you can make as much power building a fc' 13bt with a few fd parts porting it and running a large turbo. without needig new mounts and other expensive ****.

First of all, an FD3S is a car, not an engine.

The engine that comes with a stock FD is a 13b rotary.

If you're planning on spending 10-15k, throw in a 20b, better numbers.

As for your question; the only place in town is RX7 specialities. I personally would never take my car to Adam, but to each his own.

Have fun.

FD = 13B-REW
FC n/a = 13B

yah 13B. im not sure if he wants to shove a FD in his FC or dropped a FD on top of his FC. Fusion? FD/C hybrid?

look the differences between the 13B and the 13B-REW are not significant enough to warrant the motor swap.........I doubt anyone will wan to do this swap for you, so unless you do it yourself it's not going to happen...do more research before you do anything stupid.....like the guy who bought his 3 rotor and THEN asked how to do the swap use common sense and don't be a retard.

man that video was great, i didnt know such a thing existed, and to the guy with the swap, you said your car was a gxl turbo? so what is it, NA or turbo, if it's turbo just build it up like dreyko said. and if it's NA and you want more power just source a regular 13bt and rear end from an fc turbo car, or just buy a turbo car to begin with (which i might be doing myself after reading up on swap info) you'll find it much less of a headache than the 13b rew swap. Good luck with everything

Dude, before every one tries to totally spoil your idea here. YES YOU CAN put a 13BREW into a GXL. The difference in the 13BT and the REW is that the mounts on the FD motor are on the the back of the motor, to get the engine to fit in your GXL, what you need to do is drill a mount on the passenger side of the motor, on the middle iron. Then you'll want to run an aftermarket engine management system, that will allow you to run the motor.

yeah, none of us are denying the fact that it can be done. we're simply saying that its not worth the ammount of time and money it would cost to do it. he would be much better off going with a 20b or a 13b-re for the cost of putting in the rew.

This is just another newb thread with someone with little rotary knowledge asking the same question of how much will it be to put an engine into my car tht isn't made to fit?

Just like all the 100 post or less crew which says they're going to throw a 20b in their car.

In the end. It will not happen. Put a few years of rotary ownership under your belt. Do a few engine installs and read up on the differences between the 13b-codes.

A 13bt can handle pretty much anythign a RE or REW can do. They are usually just for pride/bragging rights.

Now a 20b is a different beast. That's a real swap!
Me == still dreams about a 20b SP NA daily driver FC. Keyword is dreams though.

In reality. If you had the cash to do a 20b swap then you probably bought a FD instead of FC.
