Volk SF Winning in RMC 18x9 18x10 pics/weights
I finally got my Volk SF Winnings with the Rays Metal Coat (RMC) which is suppose to be that "black chrome"
This is going on my IBM FD (already rolled the fenders)
I ordered
18x9 +41 Offset B (to clear 99 spec brakes)
18x10 +42 Offset C (rim depth 67mm...I think this is the lip according to Rays website)
Weight on digital bathroom scale..
18x9....23.6lbs
18x10..23.4lbs (I don't know thats what my scale said...I weighed it 3 times )

Sorry about the pics...but I just got back into town today and just picked the wheels up from work.
Just need to search the forum for some rubber suggestions.

Great looking wheels!... not to bad weight wise for multi-piece rims.
Your width/offset spec's are almost identical to mine, same rear, only 1mm different offset up front. Check my sig for tire config.
Congrats!

That color is like the new fad or someting. Every wheel manufacture are coming out of the same type of coating... Sure is nice. Looks like they just coat the faces and not the whole rim. interesting

Yea...it just looks like a dark chrome....wierd....and I am a sucker for fads
Anyways, any suggestions for rubber? I don't plan to take the car out in the wet.
About where I purchased it from...
I ended up purchasing it from StreetSports.com I think someone had a thread about it. I paid a little over $2800 took the full 90 days ++ as stated. I ordered the wheels and paid half in September and paid the rest when I received them in January.
The reason I went with them was that I was worried about the fitment. I called alot of other places and it seemed like they were the only ones that reasured me the most and called Mackin many times to confirm or try to confirm the clearance of the wheels for the 99 spec brakes.
I'm sure you could get cheaper but for me, service is more important. I would rather pay a little more for good service then to have to deal with crap afterwards.
I would have bought from Rishie actually but it always seemed like I was talking to a new person every single time and they couldn't get a good idea on the clearance of the wheels for the caliper.
Hell, streetsports could have been lying to my face but they definitely did the best at calling me back with confirmation emails and about fitment. I ended up liking there customer service better.

would they not fit if you haven't rolled the fenders?
I thought with 38+ offset you could fit 18x9 in the front, not to mention in the rear.

probably....but I didn't want any issues
If you look at fitment for a +38 in a 9" rim up front;
Maximum front spacing, front wheel - 3.5"
Maximum back spacing, front wheel - 7.5"
So for a 9 inch wheel;
10" (wheel width + 1") / 2 = 5"
38mm = 1.5"
Back spacing = 5" + 1.5" = 6.5"
Front spacing = 10" - 6.5" = 3.5" = pretty damn close
if you calculate it out the rears for a 10" wheel and +38;
Maximum front spacing, rear wheel - 4.0"
Maximum back spacing, rear wheel - 7.5"
11" (wheel width + 1") / 2 = 5.5"
38mm = 1.5"
Back spacing = 5.5" + 1.5" = 7.0"
Front spacing = 11" - 7" = 4.0" so its pretty damn close here with 10" and +38!
if you calculated +42
10" (wheel width + 1") / 2 = 5.5"
42mm = 1.7"
Back spacing = 5.5" + 1.7" = 7.2"
Front spacing = 11" - 7.2" = 3.8" so it gives me a little breathing room.
The rolling of the fenders is extra insurance. Plus with the IBM paint job the last thing I wanted was to FUBAR the new paint....to me the amount of lippage is fine.

Oh and finally, if you look at the sizes available on Ray's website for the SF winnings
http://rayswheels.co.jp/cgi-bin/cgi2...?modelName=SFW
the next size offset available would be a +36 and the difference in the amount of lip would be 67mm vs 74mm for the +36 so that would be 2.6" of lip vs 2.9" of lip.....0.3 inchs isn't that big of a deal to me especially with a possible fitment problems with a +36
