So I was out with my buddys driving around (midnight) in my FD and he was following in his Audi S4. The night was going great until we decided to get on the new bypass and head home. I was in front and we were getting on the cloverleaf on ramp. I had just hit the interstate when all of the sudden I look behind me and all I can see is smoke covering his car. I emidietly get off the gas and trun the car off and cost to the shoulder. We open the hood and couldnt see to much(all stock). I get back in the car to see if the car still starts to get it off the road some more. i pulled off more, look behind where the car was and I notice that there is about half a quart of oil on the ground. So we open the hood again and notice that both sides of the engine are covered in oil. I called my friend that works for a towing company at night and he brought the flat bed. When I got her home I thought that I would see if the car would start. The first try it started like there was nothing the matter at all. The oil was not even dripping.

What would cause this to happen?

I plan on taking a better look in the morning. Is this a simple fix or should I just go with plan B and get my large street port with all of the goodies?

If I do send the engine out where should I send it?
