i'd bet the RX-8 has a different bolt pattern than the FC. You'd have to get some wheel spacers to get it to look right.

Wow, I thought this would look hideous...but damn it's nice looking. The wheels are too big in my opinion (for MY car that is), but they look good on the car! I also believe you'll proly need some spacers to fit.

Okay now I'm staring...that's **** HOT! Still don't want it though...but for someone who doesn't really like much over 16" to be tripping like this on that thing is really saying something!

I saw an RX8 today in a hospital parking lot. Of course, it was parked rediculously far away where no idiot would hit it. Might I say it made me drop my jaw. Oh, and the BMW Z8 was also a nice sight to see... Dear god... Car watching today was at a high point.

Looks alright. I think the 17's would be better than the 18's. That would just be a little bit too large.

Just to brag a bit, I was at a dealership yesterday and drove the RX-8. I'm about to order one so the sales manager says to take it out and spin it around a little. He said he wants me to see exactly what the car can do. Don't ever tell me that! Anyways I found out that fuel cut is a 10000 rpm, the redline buzzer is very quiet, and that the car is very fun to do donuts in! You need to turn the damn traction control off or the brakes automatically apply so it won't spin. Salesman was with me and he had a great time. He complained that too many people drive it like they are scared. Anyways sorry to thread jack. Just had to brag a little.

The bolt pattern is the same. 5x114.3, 18x8 +40. I believe they'd fit if they were +35, or you can use spacers.

first of all the wheels originally on that gp sports kit are like 19's.....so the stock 17 factory rx8 wheels would look a hell of a lot different than the photochop would

All of the 6 speed RX-8's come with 18's. Auto's come with 17's unless you get them as an upgrade in a higher package. I'm about to buy one so I've already inquired about it.

Well last night in Atlanta or Duluth if ya wanna be technical, SE-RX7 club plus the rest of us that showed up were presented to, shown, and allowed to drive the new RX8. THOSE THINGS RULE!!! I want one. I want one, I want one! Anyways, point of this post. We got a REAL good look at the new 8s. They had one a lift, and looking at the wheels I dont think they will fit an FC. I think they will bolt. But I definatly think they will at least require a spacer. And I'm not saying that they will even work then. Oh, and the wheels have a tire pressure sensor in the valve stem, with a transmitter. so I dont think a normal valve stem will fit into the wheels.

Your all asuming that both the pictures were taken from the same distance away.

If the picture of the RX8 was closer to the camera than the RX7, it will make the RX8's wheels look bigger. Or it may have been the other way around.

I have test driven two of them, an automatic and a standard, the day they were released.

Did Canada get a different release date? Owners who prepaid could pick up their cars mid-july here, and there have been a couple on the lots since then.
