More pictures on the Greddy Profec E-01

Got the new Option 2 magazine from Japan the other day - it's the Sep. 2002 issue. They have a 2-page writeup on the new Greddy Profec E-01 boost controller. Mind, the pictures are about 350k or so a pop, but I wanted to keep them good quality in case anyone can actually read the text .

Anyhow, I'm really excited about the E-01 and I'm planning to get it when it hits the US.

I'll be uploading the pics to my FTP server here in a sec - just discovered they're too big for the forum's picture attach deal .

Here's the two pages -

I'm not linking to the files, as they're 350k each, and 56k people would kill me .

Here's Greddy Japan's page on it:

http://www.trust-power.com/e-01/index.html

You can use -
http://world.altavista.com
To translate it into broken English.

Basically, it's Greddy's new boost controller. What makes it special is the large LCD screen and remote control. Not only does it offer tons of logging, monitoring, and warning features, but it can interface with other Greddy products - that's the real new trick. You can hook it up to Greddy electronic gauges and have their inputs on the screen and logged, and you can hook up the E-manage fuel computer and tune it with the E-01's display.

IMHO, I think this is a whole new direction for electronic devices - having them all work together intelligently is pretty damn sharp.

The E-01 was just announced in Japan, and I don't know if it's for sale over there as of yet. Greddy USA estimates it will be available for release first part of next year for the US. They already have test units and are doing the US documentation and testing right now.

Retail price in Japan is around $600ish. I fully expect mid to low $500 street price in the US, if not $450. The AVC-R has the same retail price, BTW.
