Can you say "CF TII HOODS DONE?" !!!
Well they are finally finished. They are going to be a bit different than what is shown, but basically it will be the same overall so I wanted to show you guys how they came out. The hood scoop that I highlighted in the last picture shows the imprint of the hood scoop that is molded into the hood. That hood scoop will be blacked out with black gel coat in the mold so that it looks better. The CF didn't lay right because of the angles being to tall and the cuts in the CF to lay just didn't work out and there were some wrinkles and so forth. They will still be CF and they will still look sweet though
For those of you wondering about the 0007 serial numbered hood for both the N/A and the TII hoods will be auctioned on eBay. No you can't buy them
I have received over 45 requests for that number, so you can see my point. I want everyone to have fair shot at them. Anyway, the TII hoods are done
If you have ordered one already, they are being made as we type and they will be shipped out on a first that paid basis. Enjoy, and feel free to shoot me any questions you might have.

Yeah they are nice. We will take some pics in the sunlight tomorrow but work had us out until the dark. This is also the prototype hood, so the next ones will be way better than what you see

We have to weight the TII one still We got so excited to see what it looked like we forgot the weight it before we installed it
We will take it off and weight it tomorrow.
The prices and all the details are on the website. I don't want to discuss that here as it could possibly violate forum policy. Please visit http://www.fc3s.org/cfhoods.html for more info

I am headed out to work now, so I will have pictures of the hood in the sunlight this afternoon. Damn this hood is PIMP
Hey Dave,
Do you have a picture of the underside of the hood? I want to see whether there is some sort of structural support or whether the hood is just straight sheets of carbon fiber placed on a outer frame. I know that the hood would still be strong enough even if there is not structual support, but I just figured I would ask.
I've seen some hoods w/ no structual support (no names), but it seemed very flimsy. The carbon fiber was "sufficient" for the intended purpose, but no where near what I would call "quality".

again dave comes through w/ a beautiful job!! very very very tempting to buy one of the carbon hoods but that means spending TII conversion money
soon enough... great job!! one question though dave, have you guys thought of making carbon headlight covers as well (not vented like corksport etc...). For those buying your carbon hoods this would seem like a nice compliment bc the stock covers on a bright car seem to break-up the look of the front end. I may have to hide my credit card from myself!!!
