Yeah I saw that on an fc a while back! Cool idea, but definitely hit up your local craigslist for a t2 hood or something. Awesome deals always come up, at least around my area.

Looks like it's missing the nipple to connect the hose which leads to the stock bypass valve (stock bov). Here is a photo.

Easiest way to get your stock diff out is to drop the subframe. It's like two nuts on the diff, two nutss on the subframe, and two nuts holding that bracket thing. I used an impact and the nuts came off easy. Make sure you have a jack or something to lower the rear down tho so it doesn't simply drop lol

Not sure about the Diff. The guy I bought my turbo 2 rear from said this "synthetic blend 75w-90". I think there are two bolt things in the back of the diff to fill and see the level, but not entirely sure if they are specifically for filling it up or what.

The nipple on your power pipe isnt "removable", its broken. You might call Japan2LA, post a "Wanted" ad in the 2nd Gen parts forum, check ebay or buy the aluminum replacement from Corksport. RotaryResurrection has one on ebay thatll cost you $18 shipped.

Or since youre unemp'd you might epoxy up a patch and plug the BPV port in the turbo intake duct and join the BOV-free club.
