Are our O2 Sensor wires Sheilded?

Trying to install a A/F Gauge (spare me any banter about it not being useful, i basically got it for free) and i have to get a O2 Sensor signal to it, i dont wanna butcher the stock harness. I was wondering if our O2 Sensor wires (in the enginebay) are sheilded? Because i can cut that and get the signal from there but i want to kknow if that would endup screwing with the signal.

Thanks!

The majority of the wire is shielded with a ground mesh which connects into the harnesses ground.

It stops a couple inches from each end. So you can tap in before it starts near the ecu.

Here's a picture of the 02 GREY wire as it comes thru the bulkhead b/t the engine and passenger. Shielded? Yes.

Can you use a normal piece of wire. Probably so. Try to keep it seperated from the other wiring the best you can and it'll work ok.
