BTW, your engine bay is showroom clean! Did you invest in Q-tips or sumthin, or did you get it that way? Wow.

Looks like you did a good job. I never got my radiator supports in as clean as you did. You don't have to cut any frame with this IC.

 

DeNguyen - the Intakes took a bit of work. The top one was easy, just chopped off the stock hose, just behind the flex piece.

The lower one I ended up doing twice. 1st time with a 2" flex PVC 90 elbow from HomeDepot. After the car warmed up it was collapsing under high boost/intake because it got too soft. I ended up using a 2" hard PVC 180 U - that was a tight fit, but I got it in there.

Off to the shop this morning to get the new bumper fitted and painted!

Hey man, I don't mean to **** on your Corn Flakes, but you have your intakes stitting directly behind your radiator. Aside from the installing them next to the turbos, that's probably the worst place to put them. You might want to try and relocate them somewhere. It doesn't look like you have much room to play with, but it might be worse some playing around.

That said, nice job with the install and you're engine bay looks very clean. Good job.

What all did you have to relocate other than the intakes? What kind of fabrication on the brackets did you have to do? Did you have to discharge the ac? Have you been able to use the ac and see how it runs? These questions might be answered in the instructions, but I am looking into this IC and wanted to know the install a little better than in previous posts. Thanks ahead of time.

I would try and angle the intakes towards the fender. There isn't much room to work with, but you should be able to position them away from the radiator a bit. Maybe even make a heat shield out of some sheet metal. Sucking hot air isn't good, no matter how good your intercooler is. Nice intercooler btw, I might ditch my m2 large for the 2 row. I just want to ket my single in first and try a dual fan setup on the ic.

 

Krisium - The a/c condensor and radiator are repositioned and the battery is relocated.

since I haven't written the instructions yet (maybe tomrrow afternoon), here is a quick description of each of the relocated/repositioned items.

The a/c DOES NOT need to be discharged/recharged (ie disconnected). It is repositioned from the stock ~25degree slant to the rear to almost upright (maybe 10 degrees off vertical). You can reposition it by bending the metal a/c pipes. There are brackets in the kit to mount it in the new location.

the radiator follows suit, repositioned from 30 degrees off horizontal to 10 degrees off vertical, brackets for mounted this on the top and bottom supports are provided. I also took this opportunity to upgrade my radiator from the stock to the fluidyne. The radiator is removed, drained and refilled (another reason for doing the radiator upgrade at the same time, or at least an annual flush... )

This is a good opportunity to relocate your battery to one of the storage bins behind the seats. I didn't want to do that at this time so I purchased a very small footprint battery from a car stereo place. It is a 400 CCA battery from hcpower with about a 3" x 8" x 8" dimension, you can see it tucked away in the front drivers side of the engine bay, I think there are a few pictures of it close up so you can get a sense of the size...it's small!

I am really starting to contemplate this FMIC. I have seen a lot of threads that have said dont get a fmic if you do road racing, but I will rarely if ever run the car on a road course. Looks good, one more question, is that the greddy elbow, or did you use a different one. If it is the greddy, was it completely necessary

 

Greddy is the only company I can think of that makes an aftermarket elbow.
