Cool PICS! - Carbon Fiber Dash

Alright, here is the preliminary pictures of my new CF Dash. It is just placed in right now. As I still have to make sure it all fits together and works fine. So far, so Good.

No, it is NOT Real Carbon Fiber. Pictures do NOT do it justice. It looks deep, and 3 dimensional. It has a Weave pattern which is extremely realistic. It is a process called Photolithographic or “water-transfer” printing. It is what car dealers use for “Wood” Trim as well.

I have other pieces already done, like the door handle surrounds, the overhead light surrounds, the e-brake, power windows surrounds, etc.

Well enough talk, onto the PICS!

I still have to put in the A/C vents, lights, etc, but you can see the big picture.

Don’t mind the pedals, I just placed them there to see how it would look together.

I even have the Gauge Cluster Trim surround done in that stuff. What I do want to do,
is have the actual gauges replaced with V8Kilr’s silver faced ones – OR, having the black trim done in Silver kinda like THIS

Grey/Black shift boot – Waiting for my Momo Race Shift **** to come in.

As you can see, it is very deep and reflective due to the clear-coat.

Momo Millennium Steering Wheel

Close-up of some of the gauges.

I feel like I need to change the ***** to something metallic/titanium. I have another set of ***** done in the same material, but am not crazy about it.

I was thinking of using some Cannibalized Autometer Trim rings to go around the A/C
Controls. Giving it the proposed look you see below look you see below.

Misc Pictures.

ENGINE etc.. (Going in this weekend!!)

SWEET! I love the steering wheel (esp. the chrome rings which go nicely with the shifter **** and e-brake handle rings)! I'm also diggin' the dash - looks a lot better than the standard silver/grey!

I'm still working on a brushed stainless or clearcoated aluminum instrument panel... gotta figure out how to take apart a Series 3 instrument pod without breaking anything, and mine's always in my car so I can drive her...

You're SHARP.

Especially the way you even included my quote.

I said "don't mind the pedals, I just placed them there to see how they would look together."

Go play with your marbles again.

If you are referring to the whole thing, it's custom,
and unfortunately, it wasn't cheap.

If you are referring to the Tri-Gauges under the Radio,
Manntis on this board is selling something similar for a fair price.

I just knew you were talking about Bryan's car.

Somone just took the cluster apart and did a good job spraying it silver. I was wanting to do it myself, but fear it will seem like I'm biting. His car won't be on the road for years, so I may be alright

The carbon fiber is ******* sweet ***!

-lafz - Never thought of it that way. According to my better half, she says I spend too much time in it already.

Soon I will be driving it with real BOV "PHOOOOSH!!!" (turbo) sounds, rather than the ones I make with my mouth, and throwing myself back into my chair.

I feel so stupid doing that, yet I CONSTANTLY do it while driving this car.

I paid $225 for it, plus 45 for the Hub Kit.
