Small Testimonial on FDNewbie Imports / Ramy - Move to GG/BG If ya like!

I picked up a hood which was ordered by another member of the forum. He had already sent the money to Ramy and was waiting for the hood to ship out. This was in April/May of 2007. After sending payment and battling back and forth with Ramy on the shipping times I found it would take several months to receive. I honestly wasn't happy at first but in a sec you'll see why I'm glad I stuck through with it.

Ramy's shipment got stuck in inspections for an abnormal amount of time since they decided to inspect everything. He finally threw me a shipping quote and the hood was on it's way to me. (November 2007).

I freight driver shows up and we go to the truck to unload it. I decide I'd like to inspect it before I accept it. As the driver is cutting the box he puts a 2" gash right in the hood. Now you can imagine, I'm just totally distraught.... however, I call his shipping company and ask for details on whether I should accept the package or not. The driver writes down that he did the damage and I also found out he shouldn't have touched it at all or helped open it. So I file a claim....

After all the details I could provide, forum sale, payments made, etc. I'm out a total of $1511 and some change. I get a check from the shipping company for $40 saying that the hood was "used" and they could only give me $1 per lb of weight. They then closed the case.

After I told Ramy about this he called up the company and Re-Opened the case. I kept hounding them as well.

The final result was:

I got every cent I spent refunded.
I got to keep the hood with a scratch in it.

Thanks to Ramy working out the problems I got more than I originally bargained for. Just goes to show that despite the shipping times, and Ramy's business schedule...with a little patience things will pay off. Anyone questioning business with FDNewbieImports can rest assured, you're getting great customer service and you'll receive exactly what you paid for.
